The Motorcycle Boy were an indie pop band who formed in Edinburgh in 1987. The band
was made up from former members of The Shop Assistants and Meat Whiplash. Their only
album, Scarlet, was shelved by their label, Chrysalis, and the band split. Fortunately
Forgotten Astronaut have got it down from the shelf and released it, some 32 years
after it was recorded. Includes their indie chart hit, Big Rock Candy Mountain.
